Words can’t describe how excited I was to photograph Chase & Lauren’s wedding in Marfa last month. Chase & I have been friends for nearly 10 years, and he is one of the most genuine and kind hearted guys that I know. He’s a creative with a real knack for graphic design and music. Lauren was born and raised just outside of Marfa which is one of the reasons why they chose West Texas for the wedding. She can be a little shy around strangers, but underneath her shell lies an incredibly creative woman who is full of life. Together, they make a power couple who are loved by many.
If you have ever been to Marfa, then you know that it’s a small town dripping with West Texas charm. The day started at Hotel Paisano, where the ceremony was held in the courtyard outside. Afterwards everyone headed down the street to The Capri for the reception before sending the newlyweds off in a pedicab at the end of the night. It was a day to remember and I’m honored to have been there to document it all for my friends. –GD
